Your screen
Brake checks your screen locally, on your own computer. Each screen capture is discarded as soon as it has been checked. Screen captures are never saved and never uploaded.
No account, no telemetry
You don’t need an account to use Brake. Brake has no telemetry: it doesn’t send usage data or analytics anywhere.
When Brake goes online
Brake only connects to the internet in two cases:
- Activating Pro. When you paste your license key, Brake goes online once to check it. After that, Pro works offline.
- Illustrated detection. If you use illustrated and anime detection, Brake downloads that detection model once.
Nothing about your screen is sent in either case.
This website
This website, not the Brake app, uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It’s privacy-friendly and doesn’t use cookies.
Purchases
Lemon Squeezy is the seller of Brake Pro. It processes your payment, tax, and receipt under its own privacy policy. The Brake app itself never handles your payment details.
